It’s an old hotel, so you hear everything. The staff are nice, and the breakfast is also good.

Erasmus Hotel, a 16th‑century patrician house in Ghent’s historic centre, offers classic‑styled rooms with modern comforts, private baths, TVs, and mini‑bars. Guests enjoy a hearty breakfast buffet, a tranquil garden, and a terrace overlooking the city. Friendly staff provide free tourist information, maps, and restaurant recommendations, making it a convenient, culturally rich stay.

The hotel is filled with eclectic objects, a sad and outdated atmosphere. There’s no lounge and the room was dark, with worn and dirty carpet. Mold in the bathroom and a leak under the toilet. Almost everything was disappointing; I’m not used to staying in such uncomfortable hotels.

The welcome was fantastic, the location is exceptional right in the city center. The building is a superb historic structure, and there’s private parking.

The room was lovely, very different and very large. Nothing else to complain about.
