“Understandably it was difficult to communicate in English.”

The location is great for international tennis and Olympic sites, and everything else was fine.

“Хорошо, но есть нюанс с работой кондиционера.”

The staff were friendly and we were upgraded to a higher class room for free because something seemed to be squeaking in the original room. Breakfast was good, the place was quiet and the view was nice. The hotel is fairly old, with low ceilings and a renovation that looks a bit worn; the brown D.S.P. furniture is not modern. The biggest drawback was the strange air‑conditioning system: instead of a steady quiet mode it would shut off for 5 minutes, then run for 30 seconds at a loud, strong blast straight from the ceiling into my face while I slept, which really disturbed my sleep.

The bed was pretty comfortable, but breakfast was not very good and offered limited variety.

The view was good and the hotel was close to the bird’s nest.
