The small, round bungalows were very pretty and offered a quiet atmosphere right next to Addo National Park. The food was excellent, served by very friendly and attentive staff. I’d book there again anytime. Everything was well maintained and clean, and the swimming pool was nice. The morning safari we booked through the lodge was informative, but apart from a few elephants we saw no other wildlife. We had a better experience on a private game reserve safari we booked for the next day at a cheaper price.

Everything was great—warm atmosphere, beautiful location, tasty food, and especially the fantastic safaris!

The staff were very nice. Breakfast was superb, with fresh, crisp baguette and croissant, plus avocado toast and crepes, not just the usual scrambled eggs. The restaurant offers a small menu of five main courses in the evening, which is more than enough. The rooms in the “huts” are thoughtfully decorated and also feature a lovely veranda. Occasionally you can hear trains and loud trucks, which might bother guests from very quiet rural areas; for us it wasn’t a problem.

The location near Addo Elephant Park was perfect. The lighting inside the accommodation and the lack of seating furniture in the room itself were the only negatives.
