The AP Eva Senses hotel is situated in the heart of Faro, offering a rooftop pool and fitness room for guests. The airport and beach are 10 km away. Spacious rooms feature work desks, minibars, and some offer sea views, balconies, and views of the marina or Ria Formosa Natural Park. A trendy rooftop bar and Harune Restaurant serve local dishes and cocktails.

It’s close to everything, but the staff were a bit rude, never smiled, and were not very accommodating.

It’s a good hotel in a great location, convenient for trains, buses, and ferries to beaches and islands; breakfast was good; rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. However, we weren’t told in advance that the advertised roof terrace and swimming pool would not be available until 2027. When I arrived, I asked about pool towels and was told I’d need to buy a swimming cap for €5, but I wasn’t told the rooftop pool was no longer available. I wasn’t interested in the basement pool. I asked reception three times for a refund of the cap cost, but each time they said policy didn’t allow a refund, even though the cap was in a sealed bag and unused, so I was sold the cap under false circumstances. I asked to see a manager, but each time they said none was available. It was a small issue but frustrating and avoidable, showing a lack of customer care. On the plus side, the hotel offered a free ferry trip to the local beach as an alternative to the unavailable pool.

The room was very nice, upgraded to a harbour view with a balcony; the reception was super friendly; everything was chic except for the shower.

The hotel was fantastic, the staff were excellent, and breakfast was superb with a chef who could cook eggs however you wanted; the spot is well‑situated, and a speedboat shuttle takes you to the lovely nearby Faro beach; our room featured a decent balcony, compact yet highly functional, complete with a safe, kettle, and tea and coffee making facilities; it was safe, secure, peaceful, very clean, and comfortable; there were two bars, one restaurant, all priced competitively, offering great food and drinks, and a resident pianist added a classy touch; the spa and gym were very good; and from the upper floors you could enjoy lovely views over the Harbour and Cathedral. I couldn't find anything to dislike.
