“Our stay lead to a medical emergency”
The stars were actually magnificent and the room was cute and clean. However, there was absolutely zero air conditioning and absolutely zero air movement even with the door and windows wide open. We weren’t allowed to plug in small fans—only phone chargers and laptops—because everything ran on a solar generator. The shared “bathroom” was a half‑full porta‑potty baking in the sun at 100 degrees, too close to the sand domes, so we smelled poop all day and night. The property owner insisted it was clean and up to standard. The showers listed as available are not onsite; you must drive to them and pay to use them. The owners have never stayed at their own establishment and refuse a refund even for nights you don’t stay because it’s inhospitable. We only asked for the nights we didn’t stay back and were flat‑out refused, even after a medical emergency prevented us from finishing our stay. Furthermore, the owners rely on other similar services to share important safety and health information you need ahead of time, which is entirely irresponsible; it should be fully transparent and listed on every booking site so others don’t end up in the hospital from heat strokes like my family. They didn’t send it in an email after you arrive, and there was no service to open the emails with the very important information. They advertise the sand domes as being 20 degrees cooler than the outside air, but that’s not true when it’s 100+ degrees outside, and at night it was 65 degrees outside but still blistering hot inside. We let it vent (the one open window and the front door) from 8:30 pm to midnight and it absolutely never cooled off.
