The name is a bit misleading. The hotel is several kilometres from Monsaraz, so the price is far above what I expected. The room feels cramped, and I couldn’t open the window to the outside because it would hit passers‑by.

Getting there by car is straightforward, but the mattress left me wanting.

The booking didn’t include breakfast. The location is typical of Alentejo’s geography and spaces. There was nothing negative to mention.

The room was very cool when I arrived. Even though it’s part of a shared house, I had plenty of privacy and it was very quiet. The bed was comfortable, there was a mini fridge and a small coffee machine, but the water left was not fresh; otherwise everything was great, especially the immaculate cleaning. The cherry on top was that early in the morning, when I opened the room’s window, I saw four hot‑air balloons drifting almost over the window, right in front of it. Fantastic! Unfortunately, the pillows were not up to par.
