Located a 5-minute walk from the beach, Chabana Kamala Hotel features an outdoor pool and complimentary WiFi access in public areas. The hotel is 1 km from Phuket FantaSea, with shops, bars, and restaurants nearby. Patong's centre and nightlife are a 15-minute drive away, while Phuket International Airport is 40 minutes away by car.

The staff were very good. The room had bay windows with no insulation, and the day and night were very noisy from cars and motorcycles, so I couldn’t sleep without waking up. There was no restaurant except for the mediocre breakfast, and there were practically very few tourists. On the day of departure, no one said goodbye when we returned our key card at reception, leaving us without a farewell.

The bed was very comfy and the air conditioning worked well; the staff were extremely accommodating and family‑focused, and the shower by the pool was surprisingly great, so we didn’t need to extend the room for our late flight. The hotel stayed clean throughout. However, the pool needs some work because the stools are a little hazardous, making it questionable to swim in, and the breakfast wasn’t great and needs more options.

I’d like to thank one member of staff who moved my room inside the hotel to avoid the steps on the fifth floor; the room was okay, but the power cut revealed serious limitations. This hotel has one of the most ridiculous sets of steps to enter that I’ve ever seen, with no guardrails or handrails and a very bad ramp. When I asked a staff member if there was another entrance because I couldn’t use the steps, she laughed, which I didn’t find funny. The room had no window. A power cut at about 4 am meant there was no air conditioning, and a bright light turned on automatically that woke me up with no way to turn it off. About an hour later the power returned, automatically turning the TV on at a loud volume, but it didn’t turn the air conditioning back on. Overall, a really unpleasant stay and I will not be going back.

The location was excellent, the service very good, and the value for money was solid. The only downside was that there was no bar.
