We stayed in the most beautiful, cosy accommodation of our entire Japan trip. The main living area featured a lovely fire, and we could buy reasonably priced, delicious dinner food; they even handed us free marshmallows to toast over the open fire pit—an extra special bonus! Our private two‑bedroom was beautifully crafted in a wooden style, with very comfortable beds and a small balcony overlooking Lake Ashi. The staff were all friendly, and we were genuinely sad to leave after just one night. Highly recommend.
