The restaurant at Vila Vanessa was a key reason I chose this place, and the chef truly impressed me; everything from turkey thigh with carrot purée, veal fillet with pepper sauce, pastas and shepherd’s potatoes to desserts like baked apple wrapped in a thin dough blanket with blueberry jam and ice‑cream was delicious and well prepared. The Arieșul Mare runs behind the villa, and the chilly, rainy nights with the river’s sound helped us sleep soundly. From the villa you can set off on several mountain trails that lead to stunning sights, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. Within a kilometre there are two mini‑markets and a BT ATM.

The place is quiet, the food is delicious, and the breakfast is excellent, plus you can take lovely walks in the area from here. Nothing else.
