Hotel Miranda, a former 1810 sea‑captain mansion, blends Hydra’s classic architecture with modern comfort. Located 250 m from the port and 500 m from the main beach, it offers air‑conditioned rooms featuring Venetian hand‑painted ceilings and sea or garden views. The garden breakfast showcases fresh local produce amid lemon trees.

Hotel Miranda feels like a charming family‑run place, and Miranda with her daughters made us feel truly welcome. The location is ideal for exploring Hydra, with easy access to the waterfront and the town’s sights. We stayed in rooms 4–5, a connected two‑bedroom, two‑bathroom suite. Our private terrace was especially delightful in the evening, and the hallway windows gave us a wonderful view over the town, so we really had a room with a view. Each room is unique, filled with antique furniture, artwork, and interesting curiosities that give the hotel a lot of character. Breakfast was very good and served in a beautiful courtyard. There is also a small art gallery on the lower level, and by wonderful coincidence we were there during a celebration of the gallery’s 50th anniversary, which made the stay even more memorable. The bathroom was a little tight, and the handheld shower setup was awkward and tended to get water on the floor. In rooms 4–5, you also need to walk through one bedroom to enter or leave the suite, which is worth knowing in advance.

Posizione comoda e un bel giardino per la colazione. Camera eccessivamente piccola senza affaccio e nessuno spazio per stendere il costume o l asciugamano
