“Empfehlenswert!”

The room was clean and the staff were friendly. I ate at the restaurant twice in the evening, and it tasted good. I felt comfortable and would definitely like to return on my next Erzgebirge holiday. On the morning the room was being cleaned, just after ten o’clock, the Czech housekeeper appeared in my room after a brief knock while I was half‑naked coming out of the bathroom. She was startled, as was I. The staff should make sure that no one is still in the room before entering.

“Top Landgasthof lädt zum Wohlfühlen ein!”

Check‑in was straightforward with a friendly lady, and the hotel is family‑run in the Erzgebirge town of Marienberg, district Großrückerswalde. The room was beautiful, clean, modern, and comfortable, equipped with everything needed (no safe, no air‑conditioning, no minibar), but with comfortable beds, a TV, a wardrobe, a desk, two armchairs, a spacious bathroom and shower, and a balcony. The reception offered mineral water in the room. The restaurant served a wide and good menu with tasty food. The hotel has its own free parking, also suitable for a van. The country hotel can be described as quiet. The breakfast was extensive and in a pleasant setting, though single‑use packaging was still used, which is also difficult. Check‑out was uncomplicated. We will gladly return as soon as we are back in this corner of Germany.
