It was a lovely old pub with great atmosphere and friendly staff. The stairs are tight, but it’s a very old building, so if you have trouble with stairs, don’t stay.

We’ve been here before and it’s just as good this time—friendly staff and a great vibe, though the outdoor seating area could use a bit more space.

The location is fantastic, the room is spotless and comfortable, the hotel is dog‑friendly, parking is convenient, and the staff are extremely helpful and welcoming; both dinner and breakfast were excellent, though the shower is a bit small.

Dinner and breakfast were amazing; the gluten‑free sticky toffee was the best I’ve had, and the gluten‑free toast with egg and avocado plus a full fry‑up for breakfast was great. The staff were very nice and friendly, but getting to the top‑floor room required climbing many stairs, which was a bit of a hassle.

The atmosphere and restaurant are good, but being on the third floor without an elevator and having to use narrow stairs to move luggage is inconvenient.
