The building, facilities, comfort, and breakfast were all excellent, but what really set JJH House apart was Steve. He did more than expected, picking me up from the ferry port and joining me for an engaging discussion after breakfast. My only regret was that I couldn’t stay longer.

Great value for money, lovely touches, and the owner was extremely welcoming. The King room is better than most hotel rooms. No complaints.

I met a host who was absolutely outstanding—no problems at all, just warm and welcoming. We chatted outside over a cigarette and coffee, and the room felt cozy with a very comfortable bed that let me sleep like a log. I’ll definitely book here again next time I’m in, and I can’t recommend it enough!

The host made everything exceptional, answering every question quickly and even offering transportation help, swapping lightbulbs, and introducing me to other guests. He baked soda bread and took time to get to know us, so I’d say this stay balances value, location, and hospitality perfectly. I enjoyed every part of it.
