“Pleasant room with bath not deluxe suite with hot tub”
The views were gorgeous, and apart from the bath the room was very clean. It was a pretty hotel with some nice features, and the nearby castle is a must‑visit. However, our room shouldn’t have been called a deluxe suite with hot tub; it was actually a room with a tired spa bath. A large window in the bathroom overlooked the room, and the blind didn’t work, so anyone showering was fully visible to guests, which was not ideal since we were staying with our 10‑year‑old son. The broken blind also let outside lights beam in at night. The car park in front of the room is a local hangout for motorbike kids, noisy into the early hours. The beach was dirty, littered with rubbish and dead rats. Breakfast was okay, more like a continental spread; anything cooked was extra. I also got hit with a tax charge at checkout, apparently every guest must pay to visit the country, which was a surprise, and we were charged for a few drinks we didn’t have, even though we had paid for everything during the week.
