“Étape à recommander sur le chemin de Saint Jacques. Le gîte fonctionne avec la boucherie qui est à recommander pour la q”
The place sits right in the village center and offers a solid level of comfort.
The hotel sits in the square on the gr65 route, the room was roomy with a fan, dinner was delivered on a tray with the room number so you could eat whenever you liked, and wine was available to drink as much as you wanted. You could use the kitchen and dining area to make tea or coffee anytime, and breakfast could be taken early, which was handy when on the Camino. The only drawback was no fresh bread before 7:30, but there were yogurt, cereal, cheese, juice, and crackers. It was quiet with no noise from other guests, and you could hang clothes outside. Overall it was good value for money and I would recommend it. The only negative was that check‑in wasn’t until 4 pm, so an earlier arrival would have been nice after a long walk. The swimming pool in the garden was unusable, but I could swim in the river at the designated spot.
“Pèlerins du Compostelle, fuyez! Petit dej rationné, bruyant à cause du bar en dessous où ça braille jusqu’à 1h du matin,”
The reception was friendly, especially the young lady who welcomed us, but the common areas were dirty: the oven had an old dish with unwashed leftovers, the dishes were dirty, the table wasn’t cleaned from the previous day’s breakfast, the bread was hard, the lunch box was unsuitable and of poor quality, the stuffed tomatoes had to be microwaved, the breakfast was just crackers and rationed, and it was located just above the city bar so it was noisy until 1 am.
“Exceptional value for money, ideally situated for walkers on the GR65”
The room was spacious, clean, and the host explained everything upon arrival; the internet was reliable and a ceiling fan kept the heat at bay.
“TRES BIEN PLACE SUR LE GR 65”
The room was spacious and modern with a beautiful bathroom, there was a pool in the park, meals were provided on trays, everything was perfect, and the location was good.
