The location is very good and the shower is available in the room, but the bathroom door doesn’t open into the room. The reception was not professional; when I tried to close the door to change clothes, they locked me out and told me to pay first as if I wouldn’t pay.

The place is well located, not hard to find, and the staff are quick to respond on WhatsApp.

The room is simple and nicely decorated, and the location is very central. The front‑desk lady seems ill‑suited for the job. Arriving in Essaouira in the morning, I had asked the day before (after a message from the manager) if I could drop off my bag before check‑in, but never got a reply. At arrival I tried to pay for the nights by card, but they only accept cash. The manager wouldn’t hand me the key until I paid in cash, even though she already had my bank details. As a person with reduced mobility, I asked if she could come down to get the money so I wouldn’t have to climb the stairs again; she first agreed, then texted that I should wait at the bottom of the building while she finished work and wouldn’t come down until then. A disappointing start. The second issue was no hot water for two days of the stay, and the toilet sink was clogged. 😔

The design is beautiful, the location is great, and it’s clean, but it’s pricey for a bedroom in a shared flat. The building needs upkeep (not the apartment itself), the stairs are small, and the neighbors next door or downstairs aren’t the best.

The interior is super sweet, though it’s a bit tricky to find. The smell outside the front door was unpleasant, but once inside everything was lovely.
