Located beachfront in Khanom, Margarita Beach offers 2-star accommodation with a restaurant, bar, and garden. Family rooms are available, along with a terrace and free WiFi throughout. The property is 44 km from Chaweng and 36 km from Lamai. Koh Samui airport access takes 2-3 hours, including a 1.5-hour ferry ride, or under 1.5 hours from Surat Thani or Nakhon Si Thammarat airports on the mainland.

Every part of my stay outshone expectations, offering great value for the price. The owner and staff were caring and sincere, making me feel like a valued guest. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the onsite restaurant and bar had a good variety and were well‑prepared, and the facilities were well‑maintained—an excellent price for a beachside property with its own restaurant and bar. However, several dogs roamed the property and restaurant. Though they were sweet and well‑behaved, they could be problematic for someone with a dog allergy like me. Internet connectivity was spotty, especially in the evenings when everyone was on the same router; it would often disconnect, so I was glad to have a separate e‑SIM on my phone when the hotel’s Wi‑Fi barely worked.

The place was incredible—a private slice of paradise with an amazing beach, a comfy bed, and a great shower. We knew it would be farther from the token area and restaurants, so we booked for that reason—a bit of calm and relaxation after a busy few weeks of city sightseeing. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff fantastic, and the cocktails top tier. We miss Noodle, one of the lovely resort dogs, very much! It isn’t a personal dislike (quite the opposite), but note that it’s further out and Khanom is tranquil and peaceful, so transport could help if you want to get “out and about” a lot. If you’re afraid of dogs, as many beach resorts in Thailand are, this may not be the best accommodation for you.
