The place is only Instagram‑worthy, nothing else. The service was awful: we got the room with stinky food in the fridge, there was no iron or dryer, the pool was dirty and had more chlorine than water. The “rules” weren’t clear from the start; they claimed there was water at reception for filling the room’s jug, but the jug was empty. They said they would change linens every two days, but that never happened unless you told them daily when they could clean, and even then they wouldn’t. They give you one roll of toilet paper regardless of how many days you stay; if you need more you have to ask, which is annoying. There was no ice and the room smelled damp. My experience was unpleasant; I would definitely return to Puerto Escondido but never again to Aldea Kanaloa. The walls are drywall and when a friend knocked on the door, the hollow surface rang loudly, so they forbade us from receiving him in their premises. I had an accident that required a hospital visit and they were completely unempathetic.
