“Quintessential BnB with gourmet breakfast”

This place delivers a quintessential BnB experience: a historic house fully restored with character, a lovely view in peaceful Russell and close to Bay of Islands activities. The proprietors welcomed us warmly and gave a detailed overview of the area with activity suggestions. The gourmet breakfast, prepared by chef Peter with many ingredients and jams from his own garden, was truly outstanding. I normally resist giving full marks, yet I must award a perfect 10 out of 10 all around, even though my time there was limited.

Arcadia Lodge is beautiful and sits very close to town. Peter and Greg are great hosts, and the three‑course breakfast was amazing; I have no faults to point out and will definitely recommend it and hope to return soon.

“Brilliant offering with great attention to detail and lots of effort by proprietors.”

Every detail of our stay received great attention. The breakfasts prepared by Peter and served by Greg were outstanding, giving us a fantastic start to the day. We enjoyed leaving our car behind and walking into Russell, a brilliant resort town. Arcadia exceeded all my high expectations!
