The room is nice with an ensuite sink, shower, and separate toilet, and it’s very clean. The dining area is pretty, and the owner is helpful. There’s a large parking lot behind a closed gate where our bikes could be parked safely. The location is very remote, surrounded by wide fields and forests, and you have to drive a good distance—15 minutes—to reach a shop or supermarket. Breakfast is limited to baguette, croissants with jam, coffee, and tea, but it’s tasty. The beds are quite hard, which is a plus if you like that.

The owner had a problem and should have cancelled, yet she agreed to take us in anyway, warning that we couldn’t dine as planned, so we made other arrangements and ate on the road; we thank her because we’d have had to find another place after a long drive. The welcome was great, the spot is very quiet, the room is gorgeous and spacious, no TV but a shared lounge with plenty of books – perfect for anyone seeking peace, rest, and parking.

We stayed four nights in a charming building with a lovely garden and very comfortable beds. The jacuzzi was broken, so we couldn’t use it during our visit.

The peace, the beautiful country house, and the dinner quality were all excellent. The breakfast could include a wider selection of fresh fruit, cereals, and plain yogurt.
