Reconnect - Private Island Resort & Dive Center Togean, on Buka Buka Island, Ampana, offers a private beach, sun terrace, and lush garden with sea views. The resort features air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms and free WiFi. A family-friendly restaurant serves Indonesian and international cuisine, while a fitness room, outdoor fireplace, and picnic area provide leisure activities.

The resort was a 12/10 – absolutely fantastic, modern, and crafted with incredible care. The staff were unbelievably attentive and loving. The food was freshly prepared and served buffet‑style, changing daily and tasting very, very good, with options for everyone and special meals for allergies. Water, tea, coffee, and electricity were available 24/7, though hot water was not, which wasn’t a big issue given the temperatures. You can borrow kayaks, snorkeling gear, and other equipment for free, book great massages, play board games, or find a nice spot to read. The dive school was also excellent, with plenty to see in the underwater world. If you need directions from A to B, just contact Reconnect and they’ll help you out. We were truly impressed and fondly remember those five days.

We stayed in the glamping tents just a stone’s throw from the sea, and it was amazing. The coral reef was incredible, the food excellent, and I highly recommend it. Just remember that the return to Ampana isn’t from the Ampana port but from Reconnect’s port, 15 minutes from Ampana; keep your backpacks on the seats if you don’t want them wet.

The location is great, facing west for sunset. The staff are friendly and helpful, the villa is very pretty, and you can lie on the beach. The food is not great, the cleanliness could improve, the value for money doesn’t match, and the private pick‑up costs an extra 1 Mio IDR per boat.

The place was peaceful, well maintained, and perfect for a relaxing holiday with some occasional activities. Nothing was lacking.
