I never actually stayed because when I booked, the listing didn’t mention a $250 cleaning fee on top of the $214 room rate, so at the last minute I had to drive 15 hours to find another motel and I was not happy. The problem was that they charged such a hefty cleaning fee on top of the rate.

The price was reasonable, the room had two beds, and the location was convenient. However, the room carried a cigarette‑smoke odor even though smoking isn’t allowed, and we had to endure a man coughing and hacking all night into the early morning.

The hotel administrator was very kind, but when I arrived I realized I couldn’t stay there because I didn’t feel safe. I was shown my room and I just could not imagine sleeping there.

The room was dirty, there was no garbage can, and they used a razor in an ice bucket.

The towels were soft, but the room wasn’t clean enough.
