The host greeted me immediately and the conversation was warm from the start. The room was simple but very comfortable. The agriturismo’s location is great – a 15‑minute walk gets you to the station, and the escalator or bus takes you quickly into the historic centre, while the evenings are quiet in the countryside.

Simona, the owner, isn’t fluent in English but is incredibly enthusiastic and helpful. Even though the room lacks some amenities, she agreed to every request I made – a hair dryer, a kettle, a new fan – and gave solid tips on sights and advice. The room is rather plain and the facilities are minimal, but at that price it’s acceptable. The place has a few fruit trees, but it feels more like a student dorm than a comparison with other farms.

The staff were very friendly and handed me a list of city events for the time I’d be staying so I could pick what I liked. Definitely worth staying.

Simona, the owner, is a very social woman who clearly enjoys hosting guests. She speaks English fairly well (though not perfect) and is engaging and approachable. She loves the location and it comes through. We stayed a week in an apartment, everything we needed was there, and the place was lovely. She offered good restaurant and outing suggestions, and it turned out to be a surprisingly fun week for us. The only thing I could think of is that Piazza del Campo is about a 2.5‑km walk, a hilltop at 30 °C, but there’s a well‑equipped supermarket just 200 m away.
