“Beautiful location but didn’t live up to Taj standard”
Proximity to airport for a short stay. Calm bay like sea with lots of fish life. Beautiful white sandy beaches where you could get complete privacy to enjoy the peace. Beautiful sunset bar. A poor reflection of Taj brand. Management of restaurants was poor during breakfast with long time for food service. Cleanliness of the coffee cup and saucer at the flagship Mediterranean restaurant was really poor. The salt in the food at the Mediterranean restaurant was extremely high and we gave feedback as the red snapper fish dish was inedible. Guests were allowed at dinner in bathrobe. We complained but it continued to happen! Not what I would expect at a 5 star hotel

The property is stunning and the experience was great; having our personal guide Mr Ahmed throughout the stay was very helpful and he went above and beyond. The nurse shark and stingray excursion was a must‑do and beautifully organized. Thanks to the chefs for the amazing food, and the marine life around the stay was also beautiful. No complaints.
The food was great, especially the personal touch from head chef Prakash, and the Wi‑Fi quality across the island was solid. Housekeeping was prompt, and the high tea was enjoyable. However, a hidden tax was added to the $100 free property credit at checkout, which was unexpected. Additionally, the water villa was positioned on the shore rather than in the middle of the water as we had anticipated.

The water villa was absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking views of the crystal‑clear lagoon; seeing sharks, stingrays, and thousands of colorful fish swimming right from the villa between 8 and 10 a.m. was a highlight. The lagoon was perfect for swimming and relaxing, and we thoroughly enjoyed the time spent around the villa—overall a truly wonderful and memorable experience. Nothing to complain about.
