The drive surprised us a bit. We took a very bad road that you’d rather drive in a 4WD on, and we arrived at a small square in front of houses. There was trash everywhere, not very inviting. A sign pointed to a narrow path between the houses, then another right past a farm. Everything looked shabby. Then we found this wonderful homestay: three small houses painted bright white, a semi‑open kitchen area, and an inviting pool in front. The owner is a very friendly, cheerful, and exceptionally welcoming man, and he and his wife are so kind and hospitable. The rooms are large and well furnished, with two chairs in front of each. The best part is the pool, heated with warm volcanic water, where you can sit with a drink and look straight at Gunung Batur. Dreamy. The only downside is that due to the agriculture there are many flies until sunset.

The road to the location was damaged, cars couldn't pass, no sign made it confusing to find the place. We requested a refund from the accommodation. Not recommended.
The hot spring pool was excellent; the chemicals and water are changed every day.
