Located on Trier’s market square in the historic Old Town, Hotel Restaurant Frankenturm offers elegant rooms with cable TV and bathrooms. Its Italian restaurant features wood‑panelled interior, stone‑baked pizzas, pasta, seafood, a courtyard and terrace. Two minutes from the Cathedral and 15 minutes from the Roman Bridge, it serves as a base for Moselle Valley hikes and cycling tours.

The spot was right in the city centre, the staff were kind, and access was very simple, but the bedside lamps didn’t work, street noise was an issue (though it was the wine festival, so it might be quieter at other times, and being in the centre means you can’t avoid all noise).

The place is right in the center of Trier, everything is easily reachable on foot. It’s a simple but tidy accommodation, all rooms on the first floor without a lift. The bikes could be parked safely.
