The building itself is quite old, but the interior has been renovated and looks clean, and being close to the Tsugaike gondola makes it a viable option for ski season; on the downside, every room has a wall‑mounted AC unit added, and the original central‑air ducts emit a moldy smell that also lingers in the bathroom, which was noticeable as soon as I entered, though everything else was fine and I hope they fix that issue.

The cable car station is very close, and breakfast was delicious; no complaints.

Having been renovated last year, the place was impressively clean and spotless, but the room lacked a TV and there were no provisions like a yukata for bedtime.
