Marianna and Franco are incredible hosts; you feel at home immediately. The décor is authentically Italian, not some modern whitewash. Her breakfasts are a feast; she makes the pastries herself and they are to die for. This is our second stay at La Sentinella and we can’t wait to return. Everything was perfect. Driving my car down the hill was a little scary at first, but I managed just fine.
“Parfait”
Breakfast was hearty and tasty, and the room was nicely decorated.
“Struttura molto accogliente in un paesino particolare .”
The place is very pretty in a unique spot, and the breakfast is very good.
“Rigenerante e super accogliente!”
On August 29 and 30 we stayed at B&B La Sentinella in Civita di Calabria, and it was a wonderfully comfortable experience. The building blends old charm with modern, functional touches that made the dining special. We slept great and were treated to a homemade breakfast that felt very welcoming. The whole stay was enhanced by Mrs. Marianna’s calm, friendly, helpful, and warm demeanor, almost like another era. Anyone planning to visit Civita, Morano Calabro or Papasidero in the Pollino National Park should strongly consider staying at B&B La Sentinella.
“Benvenuti a Civita”
The owner’s welcome was the first thing that struck me. The sumptuous breakfast featured homemade items on the terrace overlooking the mountain “La Sentinella.” The rooms were well cared for and nicely furnished, with thoughtful details such as embroidered towels. Nothing to complain about.
