The staff were friendly and the location is good if you want to be near the airport; taxis to the airport are cheap and quick. The minibar was dirty (literally mold inside), the furniture was old and wobbly (tables, armchairs). The room overall feels old and certainly hasn’t been renewed in many years.

The staff was exceptionally helpful in every possible way. They even assisted with upgrading my plane trip, solved some phone problems, and provided everything I needed. I wish the swimming pool had been open a few days longer, and I’m not really crazy about the exercise equipment.

The location was fine for the airport, with a shuttle to and from the terminal we needed to fly from. The staff were excellent during our brief stay. The pillows were too firm for us. The shuttle bus could have been more efficiently organised. Pick‑up from the hotel for our early‑morning flight was on time, but there was an unnecessary stop at the sister hotel across the road where nobody boarded, and more time was wasted by stopping at a terminal where no one got off the bus. The driver could have checked with passengers which terminal they needed when he picked them up.

I’ve stayed here twice now and would book again. The free airport shuttle, modern interiors, great lounge and excellent staff all fit what I need during a layover, and it’s a pleasant walk to restaurants and shops in Barajas’ old city center.
