I was shocked when the owner canceled my booking right before I got there because they wouldn’t honor the price I had paid, and I only learned about it when I was already at the front desk trying to check in; I still haven’t received a refund.

The room was spacious, but a big gap under the door let insects in, the tub was slick and hard to stand in for a shower, the couch sucked in and you could feel the boards, and the mattress was so flimsy that turning it shook the whole thing.

I'm not sure what's more shocking, the state of the lobby or the fact that we didn't even get to stay here. The lobby was a mess, with boards up on some of the windows and a general air of neglect. We ended up sleeping at my nephew's place on an air mattress instead.
