The spot is wonderful, the staff are friendly, and the price feels right; the room gets cleaned thoroughly every day and stays very tidy. However, there was a noticeable chemical or cleaning product smell in the room, which made my stay a little less comfortable because I’m sensitive to such scents.

The location is very good, the reception and the room have been refurbished, the bathroom is excellent, and there’s a coffee machine at reception that costs extra while hot and cold water are free. The room had a very small window that didn’t show the outside; hardly any light came in, a fixed shade let in air, and the frosted glass hid the view, leaving a small ventilation gap. It’s fine for a single night, but staying longer feels claustrophobic.

The staff were lovely and attentive, letting us leave our bags so we could explore the city before checking in, and the 24‑hour reception meant we could return without worrying about a curfew. The facilities are quite basic; you’re really paying for the location. The reception area is beautiful, but the rooms are plain, there’s no bar or room service, and no tea, coffee, or breakfast is offered, though the heart of the Gothic Quarter has plenty of bars and restaurants nearby.

The location is great, the place is clean, and the staff are friendly, but the beds are hard.

The rooms lack good soundproofing; mine was right next to the elevator and it was noisy. There were small roaches in the bathroom—not the big disgusting ones, but still not a very nice image for a hotel.
