Stylish boutique Z Hotel, with 40 air‑conditioned rooms and private balconies, sits on Nungwi’s white‑sand beach, offering direct Indian Ocean access, an infinity pool, jungle gym, Sky Spa, beachfront restaurant Sexy Fish, ocean‑view café Cinnamon, and rooftop cocktail bar with sunset vistas. Adjacent Z2 adds 26 luxury rooms, marble floors, Bali furniture, art, a 4 m black‑stone pool, and Marigold restaurant, sharing all amenities.

Very pleasant staff, neat and tidy. Good breakfast and great restaurants. We stayed for four days and would have liked to stay longer. We’ll probably choose z2 hotel if we return to Nungwi.

Breakfast was truly tasty, the staff were exceptionally kind, and the room had an appealing setup. Unfortunately, I missed the television.

The stay at Z and Z2 with our group was awesome – the town around the resort is great for exploring and offers fun bars for both our 20‑somethings and 50‑somethings. The hotel has the perfect tropical traveler vibe, excellent restaurants, a relaxed pool, and an amazing beach with everything within walking distance. The only drawback was the sunset party boats that seem to want to dock in front of the hotel and blast EDM music to attract customers; they should play some Jimmy Buffett or Bob Marley instead for a better vibe. Overall, it was great.

Everything about the hotel complex was good and very clean. The beach outside the complex was partially littered, which I found disappointing. The complex, rooms, staff, breakfast, and dining were all top. The animation right between the hotel beach and the ocean can be very annoying.
