The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the food available in the hotel was excellent.
“Lovely clean hotel with excellent facilities. Lovely bar area. Lovely staff.”
The breakfast was tasty, though I personally prefer a buffet style for the continental section so I can pick my own fruit, etc. We both like middle‑cut bacon that isn’t streaky, but that might be a bit picky; it was better cooked on our second morning.

We spent four nights at this cozy hotel and really enjoyed it; the breakfast and evening meals were excellent, and the staff were friendly and efficient. Watching the racehorses trot past the dining room window each morning while we ate added a nice touch. The village is a great base for several lovely walks.
