The room was spacious and nice, but very dark. It was on the top floor, so not very accessible with a tired knee. The reception was not that of a “castle”: alleys and courtyard were full of leaves, the welcome was unfriendly. I was even told, “I hope you don’t leave at dawn…”.

Lack of professionalism and consideration for guests. The day before my arrival I called around 12 pm to make sure there were no problems after the heavy rain the previous weekend seen in the media. I had booked for my wedding anniversary! The person on the line reassured me and said he was on his way in a few minutes. He promised to call me when he arrived at the castle to confirm my reservation. Nothing happened all afternoon and just before 6 pm he told me to cancel my booking.
