La Burraia sits near Gambassi Terme in a lovely, quiet spot surrounded by forest and vineyards, offering plenty of peace and a wide view—Volterra even visible from here. The pool has no “towel‑reservation” pressure. Everything is well kept. Frederico and Bea, our hosts, are wonderful and helpful. We stayed 11 days and enjoyed the tranquility, the location, and the friendly hosts. San Gimignano is 10 km away, Volterra 18 km; many sights are reachable by car in a short drive. For a truly special, solid, and relaxing Tuscan holiday, this place is highly recommended. Dogs and children are welcome. 10 + points. The only downside: mosquitoes appear in the evenings, so bring bug spray.

The stay was very pleasant, with a convenient spot just a 15‑minute drive to San Gimignano and easy day‑trip access to nearby Tuscan cities by car. The hosts were genuinely nice, friendly, and helpful. Thanks for all the hospitality! Nothing to dislike.

The view was gorgeous, the pool very relaxing, and the area is typical Tuscan; the hosts are special people. I recommend this spot for families and more. In a rural setting, insects can be a nuisance for some.
