“Awful absolutely awful”
Nothing. The staff was extremely rude and racist, and the hotel was under construction, which was not disclosed beforehand. All amenities, including the pool, were closed and I received no compensation, yet I was still charged the full price.
“so totally badly mismanaged that i have lost all respect for the hilton brand as an honors member”
The property was in the middle of a complete remodel; the lobby was gutted and unusable with constant loud construction noise. The kitchen offered only a breakfast buffet with no take‑out service. I was not warned that I would be entering a construction zone with such severe limitations, and there was no maid service available throughout my stay. Overall, a bad experience, though I was eventually notified about the construction mess I was about to enter.
When I booked, I had no idea there would be so much construction from 7am to 7pm until I arrived. The hallway smelled odd and was covered in cardboard. The pillows felt flat and the comforter was scratchy, but the room itself was clean. The pool was also clean and nice.
