We arrived and were told the price on Booking was incorrect and that we needed to pay more. They also said we had to pay a tourist tax that was calculated incorrectly again.

The only positive I can mention is the young ladies at the reception desk; they were helpful even though my reservation wasn’t confirmed in advance and they couldn’t offer a similar room. They say it’s a 3‑star hotel, but it doesn’t even justify the $15 rate. I’ve spent 30 years working in Central Asia for international development agencies and have always supported local businesses, but sometimes idealism turns into disappointment. I spent a maximum of five hours in the hotel; the room was spacious, but the smell and hygiene of the amenities were awful. The bathroom pipes smelled like sewage canals. I would not recommend this place, even at lower prices. They charge very little upfront and then add a similar amount for local taxes; it just doesn’t add up. Don’t go there, even for free.

The only thing worth mentioning is the location. The room was not ready when we were checked in; there was nothing except a teapot, no kettle, no cup, no water—absolutely nothing. Even the bed was unmade; it felt used and unclean, which was horrible in one word.

I couldn't like anything about this place – the whole hotel, even the rooms, stank, and everything was filthy. The furniture, sockets, taps were broken, and water leaked from the toilet onto the floor, showing the hotel was in terrible condition. Absolutely no good!
