The manager was friendly and helpful, the beds were comfortable and clean, and the atmosphere was great in such a cosy old fashioned pub that even welcomes pets. The TV didn’t work, which wasn’t a problem, but the breakfast chap who served us could have been a bit more cheerful.

The room was spacious and cozy, and the breakfast tray was so generous that we could start walking around before the food was even served.

The old pub had a charming atmosphere, the meals were excellent, and the price for an overnight stay that included breakfast was reasonable. The rooms were clean, though they could use a little updating.

The location was great, the food was lovely, the staff were wonderful, and we received a warm welcome. The shower, however, was sketchy.
