The hotel carries a distinct rustic vibe from a past era, with huge rooms, colonial design, lofty ceilings, and wooden shutters that pull you into history. Locals love the lobby for photos, and the pool area is a perfect afternoon chill spot. The bathrooms look newly renovated, and the toiletries and linens are decent. Mattresses are soft and large, and rooms have both air‑con and a ceiling fan that cools quickly. New fridges keep drinks cold, and the laundry service is excellent—my clothes came out cleaner than most places I've stayed in Cambodia. I’m not sure about the comments on dodgy electrics; the building is old and some switches are painted over, so it’s understandable. Ask for a room facing the pool because street‑facing rooms get noisy traffic. The location sits just outside the riverfront, a 5‑minute walk down a shady street, which is better than staying on the strip with late‑night bars. A bus station is also very close. The two family dogs are adorable, and the staff speak good English and are friendly. Overall, you’re getting a good price for a unique experience, comparable to some of the best hotels in Cambodia. It’s not perfect, but remember the context—if you want perfection, go to Singapore and stay in a 6‑star. The only downside was that they only serve drinks, not food, which might be a low‑season issue. The hotel does have a great restaurant on the riverfront, but that’s not a problem because there’s a cozy café and bakery across the road for breakfast. Room descriptions are generic; they say the same for every room. Book the deluxe to get a better room—price differences are negligible.

The hotel is vintage‑style, unusual but really cool. Rooms are large, bathrooms are big, the pool is clean, and it’s close to the center.

Central location.

The hotel's location was ideal, a bit outside the city center, but with plenty of options nearby. It's one of the few hotels in town, and it stands out with its pool and style. The beds were comfortable, too. My only complaint was that it was a bit run-down.
