“Esperienza straordinaria.”
We had one of the most beautiful experiences of our lives, thanks to Rengha, the guide who accompanied us on hikes and on board; he was incredibly kind, welcoming, well‑prepared, very clear in his explanations, and made our adventure even more unforgettable. The food was exquisite and always varied, great even for vegetarians. We felt pampered and well‑taken care of the whole time. We also saw many iconic Borneo animals—orangutans, proboscis monkeys, gibbons, dolphins, snakes, spiders, and more—and the firefly experience under the starry sky was magical. The boat was entirely ours and we were always given the right privacy. Highly recommended! The only thing I would suggest is to use less disposable plastic.
I spent five days and four nights traveling solo on the Ketolok to explore Tanjung Puting National Park, and the jungle and wildlife were an incredible experience. The guide and crew were fantastic, treating me with more care than I’d ever felt before. My guide Rusmin showed me a lot, explained everything and organized everything perfectly, including orangutan feeding/rescue stations, trekking, night‑trekking, canoeing, a reforestation station, and a final “firefly party.” The meals were tasty and plentiful, and they accommodated my needs. Anyone willing to give up some western comforts for a few days will be rewarded with unforgettable memories.
“Tratados como reyes”
Overall, especially the staff, we were treated like royalty the whole time. They anticipated everything we might need, from cold water to fresh towels after each walk. The boat had a motor problem that made it go much slower than usual. That wasn’t a big issue since we weren’t rushing anywhere, but at one point we were left alone, far behind the other boats, and it made us wonder what could happen if we needed help.
“Extraordinaire et à refaire même si c’était fort cher …”
The guide was extremely friendly and taught us a lot, the place itself was extraordinary, the crew was very nice and the food was delicious 😊. Still, it felt like we were squeezed six people onto a boat meant for four, and they could have honored the price shown on the booking site for six; I ended up paying an extra 500 euros for the two children.
“Amazing experience”
The experience was wonderful; the main highlight of our trip was cruising the river and seeing all the nature—monkeys, birds, etc. I’d dare say it was even better than actually seeing the orangutans, though the orangutans were quite an experience as well.
