“Two night stay at cottage 2.”

The place was clean and all facilities were in good condition. The host was very responsive. Animals were great, the hot tub was great and almost new. The linen was comfy and clean, and there were enough towels and soaps. The separately hired venue "the Table" is very close to the cottages, and the noise and music contradict the sales pitch of peaceful farm life. It was communicated that there would be a wedding, but after already booking; it didn’t bother me too much, but it was noticeable. The light outside, above the hot tub, wasn’t working.

The place was fine, but the animal droppings were a problem. I explained that we had issues with the children's father on check‑out and I refused to leave with him because my son was ill; he was not on the guest booking. The host didn’t help us, turned off the Wi‑Fi, and I couldn’t call the police because he tampered with my SIM. I refused to leave, so they called the police, who then called an ambulance that took us to the hospital. The police disclosed our next accommodation address, which compromised our safety.

“I'll be back!”

I found peace and quiet, with no noise from busy roads—just nature. The quacking of the duckies, the soft clucking of the chickens, and the rooster’s “cock‑a‑doodle‑doo” waking me up made for a beautiful experience for anyone wanting to escape the city and enjoy nature.

“Enjoyable and exactly what we needed for our one night stay”

My stay at this cottage had its ups and downs. I was pleasantly surprised by the great facilities for kids, and the self-catering unit was well-equipped for a short stay, even coming with some firewood for our use. However, I did notice that one of the mattresses was worn out in the middle and could use replacing, and the fridge, although functional, had some shelving issues that needed attention. Overall, it was a decent experience, but with a few areas for improvement.
