The location in town is good. However, there is no reception in the hotel itself, so you have to go to the Lou Calen hotel’s reception to check in, something we only discovered upon arrival after unloading our bags.

The room was large, very clean, and had a spacious bathroom – plenty of room and very comfortable. It was also very quiet at night. I didn’t immediately realize that this hotel was managed by another hotel across the square. Door access was a fiddly electronic app, but the parent hotel happily supplied ordinary access cards. The staff at the parent hotel were great and very helpful.

The location, the bedding. No staff, no breakfast. You have to download an app to access the room. In short, it’s not hospitality.

A lovely room at a beautiful hotel right in the city centre. The price was fair for having a fridge, a coffee maker, and a microwave in the hallway. Nothing to complain about.

The place used to be a separate hotel but now shares ownership with the larger Lou Calou hotel across the street; it feels more like an apartment and has no on‑site staff. It’s nicely positioned overlooking a pleasant square, and our room was spacious and seemed newly renovated. A small courtyard outside gave shady spots to enjoy breakfast coffee and croissants from the kiosk next door. We liked the stay. The only annoyances were that there was no bath plug (which was later provided on request) and the automatic check‑in/QR‑code app key failed (other guests mentioned the same), so we had to fall back on traditional check‑in at the sister hotel.
