Although it’s a bit far from the center of Yufu, the rural scenery is incredibly healing, the facilities are complete, and you can shop at a nearby AEON and cook for yourself—a great experience. When showering, there is indeed a sewer smell; opening the exhaust and ventilation fixed it.

I had an awesome time here; the place is spacious, and the hot spring is a real treat—absolutely fantastic.

The house was roomy and the kids were thrilled; the open-air bath was great and the tourist spots were nearby, but the sewer smell coming from the kitchen was annoying.
