Swimming pool. Our stay at the Majestic Mirage Hotel in Cancun (Sept 20-23) was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. What was supposed to be a relaxing family vacation was ruined by gross hygiene issues, deceptive management practices, and a complete lack of understanding for guests with disabilities. The most upsetting moment happened at the resort's steakhouse. My son, who has autism, was publicly scolded by the staff over wearing Crocs and flatly denied entry. I explained four separate times to the staff that he has autism and needs these shoes. This resort is absolutely NOT disability-friendly, and seeing my child targeted and scolded by staff was heartbreaking. The room quality and cleanliness were a disaster:The Family Side Mix-Up: We paid for the family side, but upon arrival, they immediately tried to force us into the adult-only section because of my sons age. I was told to never book they can’t guarantee the room type only the hotel can! Disgusting Hygiene Failures: Housekeeping did not clean our room a single time during our stay without us requesting service. Even worse, our room had a completely broken sofa bed. When maintenance finally came to look at it, they uncovered old, dirty linens left on both the sofa bed and the trundle from previous guests. It was incredibly gross.Massive Delays: Because we had to fight for hours just to get the bed looked at, we lost hours of sleep on our first night. Room service also took over two hours just to deliver a single order. The management and butler service are entirely dishonest and uncoordinated:The Spa Lie: After all the room issues, the Guest Service Manager personally came out and offered me a complimentary spa certificate as an apology. When I went to claim it, the butler aggressively refused to honor it, claimed it "wasn't an offer," and told me I had to stay at the resort five times to get a spa perk
