We liked our stay overall, but the shower in our room was broken and the drainage blocked, so water didn’t drain properly and we had to wait a long time before my partner could shower—this was the only problem.

The grounds were beautiful, quiet and peaceful even though it’s in the city. The staff were very welcoming, and having tea, coffee and buns the next morning was a nice touch. The modern bathroom and the large, lovely bed were great. It would have been nice to have breakfast on site, but I understand they’re hoping to offer it soon.

Quiet, old world charm. The rooms are huge and beds super comfortable. It is a little like stepping back im time. You are a little out from the city centre, abd ideally would need a car. All the same it is nice to see an old house like this preserved and even given a new lease of life
