The spot is a paradise, and the manager was a very pleasant lady who was responsive. I also liked the cleaning lady, who was very kind, and the rest of the staff were all nice. I thought it would be noisy with several groups, but everything turned out great—we ate, drank, and slept well. The only downside was the abundance of beetles; they’re plentiful because it’s an ecological area and nobody uses chemicals to kill them, but they’re harmless and looking for wintering spots, which is understandable.

The area is gorgeous and close to nature, with clean rooms and a cozy bed. The Georgian restaurant is superb—definitely try the Blueberry Chatchapuri, it’s a dream—and the breakfast is generous and well‑prepared. The spa offers a lovely view, plenty of towels, and both indoor and outdoor loungers. The cleaning staff worked hard to clear the bugs that are common around that time, and the “plague” was dealt with. We had no trouble opening windows, and walking around the lake barely disturbed us. Some guests might find the bug issue more aesthetic, but they don’t bite. Our kids had a blast in the gaming room with billiards, ping‑pong, air‑hockey, PlayStation, and music speakers—totally cool. The indoor pool is nice, but it’s very slippery; the thin slippers help only a bit, and you have to watch out because the water doesn’t drain like other pools and reaches the lounge area. The tiles aren’t slip‑resistant, so they get wet instantly. No small repairs have been done on the property for a long time, which is a shame because it’s beautiful and has great potential as a dream hotel. The hotel smells strongly of room fragrance for my taste; I usually like it, but I suspect it was more heavily applied this time to mask the bug scent, so that might be an unfair critique.

The bed bugs were everywhere—on the windows, floor, and all surfaces. The property wasn’t treated. The balcony in the room was inaccessible, all doors and windows were infested. The staff said they could do nothing, just don’t go outside… but they were also flying inside. At breakfast a bed bug landed in my plate. It was terrible, I’ve never seen anything like it, and the staff’s attitude was indifferent, but that’s apparently common in Georgia.

If you’re after silence and calm, this place is for you. The views are stunning, you can walk around the lake, ride a catamaran or bike. While strolling around the lake you can reach the hinckalni, where you’ll be served delicious hinckalni. Or you can go to the Georgian restaurant and enjoy local cuisine that you’ll definitely like. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the service is wonderful. On rainy days you can head to the game room and play billiards, ping‑pong, or other board games. In principle, there was no negative experience or feeling. We stayed four nights and never felt bored. The only thing I’d note is that the hotel stopped investing in the upkeep of the grounds compared to the neighboring resort Lopot, but on the other hand you can enjoy nature as it is without extra interference. The sole drawback I’d point out is the lack of handrails in the pool! For people with limited mobility (we stayed with my mother, an elderly woman) that quest to enter the pool is risky. You can easily slip off the step and get hurt. The pool itself is wonderful with a fantastic view of the Alazansky valley.
