The Radisson Hotel Kandy, situated in Sri Lanka's hill capital, features a rooftop pool, meeting room, fitness center, and rooftop lounge & bar. Modern rooms offer 40-inch LED TVs, complimentary Wi-Fi, and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel is a 5-minute drive from Kandy Railway Station, within walking distance of the city center, and near the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.

The location was excellent, even though it’s a little uphill, which gave us a great view, and the staff were very helpful. There are also two very good restaurants nearby, Vitos and 'No Name'.

We were given an out‑of‑order room that was so dirty and old, with torn bedcovers and broken chairs. When I asked the staff, they said they had opened two out‑of‑order rooms at the last minute, and they showed me a second room in the same condition. So we had to wait in the rooftop area with our 7‑month‑old baby until they found another room. After some time they offered a different room that was better than the previous ones but still not worth the money. The duty manager, Mr Ashiq (if I remember the name correctly), was very helpful and later offered us a suite room as a better gesture. Overall the hotel is rundown and hasn’t had a major refurbishment since it opened, which is not good for the Radisson brand.

The hotel’s location and the view overlooking Kandy Lake are great. The restaurant, however, offers too many Indian dishes instead of a Sri Lankan menu, and the food quality at the rooftop bar has deteriorated over time.
