The owner was friendly and hospitable, the place was pretty and calm surrounded by a garden, even though it’s only 15 minutes from the airport. The fresh food made from local ingredients was excellent, and the outdoor areas were nice. Getting to the spot isn’t entirely straightforward; arriving on a dirt road can be tricky for smaller cars, and the rooms have older furnishings.

The owner was very kind, offered me tea and cake, and when the weather wasn’t great he even brought a heater and an extra blanket into the room.

When I arrived I was welcomed, sat down, and had some melon to eat. The spaghetti, cooked in a North‑Macedonian style, was very good and a bit spicy for dinner, and we were very satisfied. There are a few minor issues here and there, but this is a different country with a different way of life. In short, we ate well and slept fine.

The stay at Hostel Twins was comfortable; everything matched the description. The quiet rural setting is convenient to the airport, Jasen park, Skopje, etc. Tihomir is an excellent host who speaks fluent English, is very welcoming, friendly and helpful, and also prepares a tasty breakfast. Hostel Twins is a rare example of great personal service. Well done.
