The whole family was attentive at the welcome, and they gave good advice, but the disastrous weather prevented us from enjoying all that Nuwara Eliya has to offer, especially the proximity to Gregory Lake. The breakfast is very complete and hearty. Despite the blankets, we felt cold, a feeling of chill amplified by the ambient humidity. The hot‑water system was erratic, but Rajith responded quickly to our requests.

The host was incredible, communication flawless, and the value was unbeatable—would highly recommend RC AWKWARD in every category, and the place was spotlessly clean.

Sweet little place, everything you need is there. The bathroom was separate from the bedroom, but that was no issue at all. The location isn’t exactly ideal; there aren’t many appealing restaurants nearby. It was very cold at night, but that’s just the climate and we weren’t prepared, so it’s more our fault.

What we really take away from this stay is the love from this family ❤️ They made us feel part of their home and treated us with an unforgettable affection and closeness. Great spot, just a short walk from Gregory Lake. Breakfast was pretty good and the host was amazing. Nothing to complain about—everything was great.
