“Our stay at Diana’s exceeded every expectation!”
We were greeted by Salvatore and Frida with the warmest, most genuine welcome, setting a personal and caring tone for our entire stay. The room was beautiful and immaculate, everything new and thoughtfully prepared; a lovely little bed was made for our son with wonderfully soft bedding, and the bed itself was incredibly comfortable, making us feel at home from the first night. Breakfast was a highlight each morning, with Frida’s homemade cakes and Italian coffee, all fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The pool was spacious, clean, and peaceful, offering plenty of loungers and parasols, and we could order drinks and fresh sandwiches from the bar all day, all prepared with care by Salvatore and Frida. From the pool we had a direct view of Mount Etna—just stunning and breathtaking on clear days. Diana’s location is perfect for exploring Sicily, a great base for trips to Mount Etna, the Gole dell’Alcantara, Catania, Taormina, and Giardini Naxos, with lovely local restaurants nearby. A cherished memory was being invited to two family barbecues, where we felt warmly welcomed into the family as if we had known them for years—moments that make a holiday truly memorable and will be treasured for years. The property itself is beautifully preserved with lava stone, terracotta, and wood, making us feel at home rather than guests. Five stars don’t even begin to capture how special this experience was.
